Choosing an Early Intervention Programme (EIP) is an important decision for any family. Parents want to understand how their child will be supported, who will guide the programme, and how their progress will be reviewed.
At WeShine Child Development Centre, our approach brings together clinical psychology, specialised education, and allied health support around each child’s individual needs.
A programme built around your child
Children have different strengths, interests, and areas where they need support. Their learning goals should reflect those differences.
WeShine’s EIP begins with an assessment by a clinical psychologist. This helps us understand your child’s developmental profile and create an Individualised Education Plan (IEP). The plan guides learning towards goals that are meaningful for your child and family.
Depending on the child’s needs, these goals may involve communication, social interaction, play, motor skills, daily living, learning, or school readiness.
Clinical psychologist-led planning and monitoring
Each child enrolled in WeShine’s EIP is assigned a clinical psychologist as their case manager. The psychologist helps assess their needs, develop their individual plan, and monitor progress.
Our special needs educators and occupational therapists work together to put that plan into practice. This connects everyday learning with the child’s wider developmental goals.
A team that works together
Supporting a child often requires more than one perspective. WeShine brings together professionals across clinical psychology, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and specialised education.
This multidisciplinary approach helps our team consider different aspects of a child’s development and coordinate appropriate support.
Parents are part of the journey
Parents know their children in ways that no assessment alone can capture. Their observations, priorities, and questions are an important part of planning.
At WeShine, feedback sessions give families opportunities to discuss their child’s learning and progress. We aim to build a collaborative relationship where parents understand the goals being worked towards and can share concerns with the team.
Meaningful goals, individual progress
Progress looks different for every child. It might mean communicating a need, joining a play activity, taking part in a daily routine, or becoming more independent.
Our focus is on supporting skills that matter in a child’s everyday life, with goals guided by their abilities and needs.
